Importing a pedigree from a photo

A photo of the pedigree becomes an animal with its ancestors.

Instead of typing a pedigree by hand, take a photo of it. The app reads the animal and its ancestors (up to the 4th generation) and adds them to your kennel.

How to do it

  1. Go to Animals → “Add from pedigree”.
  2. Upload a photo or scan of the pedigree — ideally straight, in good light, with the whole page in frame.
  3. After a moment you'll see the data that was read. Check it and correct anything that's wrong — then confirm.

Ancestors already in your kennel (e.g. the same stud in two pedigrees) are merged into one tree — no duplicates are created.

Photo rotated? Use “Rotate”. Reading failed? “Try again” or fill it in by hand.

We store pedigree photos privately — they are not public, as they may contain breeders' addresses.
