Animals

Adding animals, status, ownership, microchip, photos.

All your kennel's animals are in the Animals tab. Add them with the “+ Animal” button or from a photo of a pedigree.

Key fields

  • Call name and registered name — the call name is what you call your dog; the registered name is the full name with the kennel prefix from the pedigree.
  • Breed — pick from the list (type a few letters to search).
  • Microchip number — 15 digits (ISO standard). With or without spaces — the app removes them.
  • Registration number — the number from the pedigree, e.g. PKR.VIII-12345. Needed, among other things, for a DogWorldBase entry.
  • Sire, dam, litter — parents from your kennel or from outside it; they make up the pedigree.

Status and ownership

Status tells you what is happening with the animal: active in breeding, for sale, reserved, sold, retired from breeding, deceased. A date of death moves the animal to the archive.

Ownership: own, co-ownership, breeding agreement, lease. For anything other than “own”, enter with whom — e.g. “Bullyview kennel (UK)”.

Tick not owned by the kennel for ancestors and outside studs — they are only needed for pedigrees and don't count as breeding animals.

Photos and PDF pedigree

On the animal's page you can add photos (the main one appears on your kennel page) and download a PDF pedigree for printing. When a photo is saved, we strip its location data (GPS).
